Sense and Nonsense about Survey's

The reading that I chose was Sense and Non sense about Surveys. This reading relates to Chapter 2 because they talk about surveys and how they are not always accurate. Both readings agree that taking survey has it's pros and cons.

The article states that survey methods are only reliable if its divided into focus groups, Because it uses open and close ended questions. The reason for this having positive feed back is because they help understand responses to questions about socially sensitive subjects.

The books reasons for surveys having negative feedback is due to lack of clarity, different definitions, loaded language, and double-barreled questions. The book says its important to know what is the population? and who participated in the survey? to be able to interpret survey results.

Both these reading compare to each other because they help analyses the point of surveys, what they do for us, how their helpful, as well as what some negative aspects of them their are such as in accuracy.
